Bio

I am Associate Professor at the Physics Department of the University of Minho Universidade do Minho and Researcher at the Portuguese Laboratory for Experimental Particle Physics (LIP). I was a member of the LIP board of Directors (2017-2025) and coordinator of the LIP Competence Center in Simulation and Big Data. I am a member of the Portuguese Physics Society, where I co-coordinate the Particle Physics Division. I am a member of the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN since 2004, focusing mainly in the search for new physics phenomena in the top quark sector. Before that I was a member of the DELPHI Collaboration, also at CERN, between 2000 and 2004.
