Main areas of interest : Experimental High Energy Physics and Astroparticle Physics. Very-high energy cosmic ray physics. Monte Carlo detector simulations.
Member of the Pierre Auger collaboration, an Ultra-High-Energy Cosmic-Rays experiment installed in the Mendoza province in Argentina.
Participates also in the GEANT4 collaboration. GEANT4 is a Monte-Carlo toolkit for the simulation of the passage of particles through matter, with applications in areas as high energy, nuclear and accelerator physics, as well as in studies in medical and space science.
Presently is involved mainly in the LATTES project, studying the capabilities of a large field-of-view hybrid detector, for the detection of very-high-energy gamma-rays in the southern hemisphere.
